Rearcross U-8's missing a number of regulars due to illness turned in excellent displays in this U8 Future Stars Blitz played in conjunction with neighbouring Clubs Birdhill FC & Kilcommon FC at Rearcross FC Grounds on Saturday afternoon. Rearcross and Birdhill met in the first encounter which finished on a two all scoreline with Jack Nolan bagging a brace for Rearcoss against the maroons. Our second game was against Kilcommon which again finished level, this time on a three all score line as Jack Nolan bagged another double while Oisin Reynolds was also on the mark. It was to be a day of draws for the Rea Boys as the third tie against a second Birdhill selection also finished level on a nill all scoreline where Sean Quinlan and Aaron Guidera were much to the fore as Jonathan Dawson also had a fine outing between the posts for Rearcross. Thanks to Sean Quinlan who played with Rearcross to make up the numbers on the day and who belied his young age with an all round stellar performance.
